COVID-19 is a very serious matter and one that none of us at Johnny’s Auto take lightly. While we’re happy to be an essential business during these unprecedented times, we also know that you may have concerns about bringing in your vehicle.
We understand – and can assure you that we’re taking every precaution to keep you, as well as our team, healthy and safe. Here’s a look at how we’re handling things during COVID-19:
We keep up to date with the latest CDC guidelines, checking them daily to see if there are any changes we need to be aware of. Our team members check in with everyone twice – the night before their shift and at a meeting the morning of their shift – to report how they’re feeling. Anyone who isn’t feeling well is instructed to stay home. We also check our team members’ temperatures daily to screen for fevers.
No Contact Pick-Up and Delivery
We’re now offering a no-contact pick-up and delivery service. We’ll arrange everything with you ahead of time so you don’t even need to be present when we arrive. You can leave the key in a place of your choosing. All payments can be handled electronically or over the phone. If you’d like to pay with a check, just let us know where you’re going to leave it, such as in the glove box or under the floor mat. We’ll give you a call the day before your appointment to go over everything, so there won’t be any surprises!
Need to Drop Off your Vehicle?
You’re still welcome to drop your vehicle off at the shop, but please be aware that we’re no longer allowing anyone into the office. We have seating available outside (6 feet apart!) if you’d like to wait or you’re welcome to come back once your car is done. When dropping off your car, pull in and our team will acknowledge you. Leave the keys in the car, and we’ll handle it from there!
How are we Handling your Auto Care?
Which brings us to how we’re safely handling your auto care… We cover everything inside the car with plastic. This includes the floorboards, shifters, etc. Our technicians use gloves and masks the entire time they’re working on your vehicle, and these are changed between each car, so nothing is being reused. We also sanitize the keys before returning them. All parts are disinfected as soon as they arrive, so they are clean and sanitized before they are installed in your car.
